Consumer Dispute Request

For Cases of Human Trafficking

Per the requirements of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), iprospectcheck allows consumers to submit disputes for adverse information appearing on their background check reports when the reported information results from human trafficking.

We will accept requests to block information from your background check that resulted from human trafficking. You can submit a request to remove the information by using our online dispute form below.

A request to block or remove adverse information that appears as a result of human trafficking should include the following documentation:

  • Copy of a valid government-issued identity document, including a valid and unexpired driver’s license, state issued I.D. card, passport, or other reasonable means of identification.
  • Documentary evidence of trafficking, including one or more of the following documents:
    • A federal, state, or tribal government agency’s determination of your status as a victim
    • An authorized human trafficking task force’s or non-governmental organization’s determination of your status as a victim
    • Court records showing your status as a victim
    • Signed attestation that you are a human trafficking victim that is also signed by a court, human trafficking task force, non-governmental organization, or a federal, state, or tribal government entity

In your request to block adverse information, please clearly identify the information that was caused by human trafficking  that you wish to block.

We will review all requests and process them in accordance with the Prohibition on Inclusion of Adverse Information in Consumer Reporting in Cases of Human Trafficking (Regulation V).
